Video Streaming on the Web

Stream your Videos

For a long time now, its been very easy to download and play back high-quality audio and video files from the Internet. Current web browsers and servers support full-file transfer mode of document retrieval. However, full file transfer means very long, unacceptable transfer times and playback latency. Ideally, video and audio should be streamed across the Internet from the server to the client in response to a client request for a Web page containing embedded videos. The client plays the incoming multimedia stream in real time as the data is received.

If you've tried products designed to stream high quality video over low bandwidth you have probably encountered jitter, audio/visual synch problems and dropped frames. This results in a very poor user experience which reflects on your products.

There are many existing products to choose from when creating video streams. The most common formats are:
Windows Media
RealMedia
Quicktime
MPEG
Macromedia Flash

Each product has significant limitations. Enter emotion. We have created our own proprietary streaming products. Prepare to be captivated, enticed, enthralled and mesmerized. Come to the video encoding and compression professionals at emotion to bring your video to a worldwide audience on the web. Our Pros have been encoding and webcasting since 2001 and can handle your encoding project with the experience and attention to detail that can turn your video and audio materials into a great presentation for any Internet viewer.

A Typical Streaming Production Workflow

Step 1 Streaming Storyboarding

We start by meeting everybody who is currently involved in training activities. This would typically include HR staff, plant supervisors, managers and even the CEO. Next we establish the key objectives and content to be conveyed and featured in the video.

Once this is complete we collect information on your product and company. Sometimes this information has been formally written out, other times we discuss and document current corporate identities. At this point everybody involved decides what should be included in the video and how it will be organized.

Step 2 Streaming Codecs

We bring in your content get to work. We can work with any major video and audio codecs. Our professional camera operators shoot using high-end cameras and professional lighting. Talent can also be hired as needed.

Step 3 Editing Final Product

Editing, graphics, and special effects emphasizing key points, are then added. 3D modeling and motion graphics may also be added. The rough cut is then viewed for approval after which you make any suggested changes. Final changes are then made on-site and the video is finalized.

Step 4 Final Formatting of Streaming Product

The final step is to output the video for its intended use. (Broadcast master, DVD, Web etc). Our delivery is tailored to meet the needs of the intended audience.

We can deliver the video product in the most effective and appropriate format. We offer DVD, Web formats, Flash, VHS, and broadcast masters.

All of our customers enjoy the added security and value of a digital backup of their projects at our facility. Our backups are LIVE. Making changes next month or next year are as easy as making changes during the active phase of the project. Updates can often be done in a single day. This also means that resources used on one video can be used for additional videos thus reducing the cost of future projects.
